Kansas City Events This Week: From Sushi Rolling to Whiskey Tours
Stay up to date with my favorite events in Kansas City this week. My goals is to get you the information before I get there. People often tell me that they love all the events that I go to but they wish they knew about them beforehand. My weekly event article will hopefully let you know where to go this week!
February 10th - Paint Nite at Westport Ale House
Grab your friends and unleash your inner artist at the Original Paint Nite. You’ll go from a blank canvas to a masterpiece of your own, with plenty of laughs along the way. Guided by a talented and entertaining artist, you'll be amazed at what you create, and how much fun you have doing it.
Yaymaker events give you everything you need to get up, get out, and get making! Instruction is provided by an expert host, so no experience is required, and everything you need is supplied. Grab your friends to paint, plant, tinker, and build—and give your week something to shout about.
February 11th - Neapolitan Pizza Making Experience at 1889 Pizza
Looking for an out-of-the-box experience for Valentine's Day? Ditch the run-of-the-mill restaurant reservations, and impress your sweetie with an authentic Italian experience. Join 1889 Pizza Napoletana for a Neapolitan pizza making class. You'll step behind the counter and into a lighthearted and hands-on class. You will learn the pizza process from start to finish... from preparing the dough to creating the pizza crust to perfectly topping each pie.
February 12th - RA Sushi (Leawood) Roll of Attraction: A Couples Sushi Rolling Class
Enjoy a romantic and entertaining night out with our special Sushi & Sake 101, Roll of Attraction: A couple’s sushi rolling class on Wednesday, February 12 at 8 p.m.
February 12th – Chocolate and Beer Happy Hour with Christopher Elbow
Join Christopher Elbow on the evening of Wednesday, February 12th as we celebrate the marriage of beer and chocolate. Brand Ambassador and Certified Chocolate Lover™ Kyle Hopkins will be joined by Ethan Taylor, the Director of Production at Christopher Elbow Chocolates. The two will walk you through a special flight of beers and chocolate. 21+
February 13th – J. Rieger & Co. Distillery Founders Tour
Join J. Rieger & Co. this Thursday, February 13th at 6:30 PM as their Co-Founders Andy Rieger & Ryan Maybee along with their Head Distiller, Nathan Perry, take you on an in-depth tour through J. Rieger & Co.’s recent expansion as well as the history behind their brand.
February 14th - Dig Valentine's Day at Bar K!
Single this Valentine's Day? Join Bar K Dog bar for a night celebrating dogs and love.. Get free treats for pups, drinks for humans, and gifts for everyone! Your dog is invited and ENCOURAGED! Valentine's Day Mixer at Bar K! Treat yourself, bring your pup, and find love.
February 15th - Onesie Pub Crawl Kansas City
Hundreds of people are bar hopping in onesies in Kansas City! Join them anytime for your wristband! There's live entertainment throughout, no cover charges, drink specials, professional photographers, and a costume contest with cash prizes! Anyone is welcome! Bring your friends or make new friends here!
February 16th - French Macarons for Beginners (ages 21+)
Love at first bite! Learn how to make French macarons using the French meringue method. This is a hands-on course led by Kate Smith, owner of Kate Smith Soirée. This class will be specifically for a 21 and older crowd. One glass of wine will be included with your ticket. Additional alcohol can be purchased at Topp'd Pizza and Salads. You will work in groups of 2 to create, from start to finish, your own 15-count gift box of macarons to take home. We will also demonstrate 2 filling recipes that are easy to make at home and sure to please a crowd. We will discuss meringue techniques, piping techniques, bust myths and much more!
